Ei – The Modern Warholian

“The Modern Warholian”

A very true statement when it comes to Ei, who is every inch the Warhol Superstar. Straight away one can see the massive influence that Warhol and his followers have on her style, and it serves her well, given the fact Ei looks as though she just came from The Factory in 1965!

Immediately you can see that Ei’s main inspiration is Edie Sedgwick, and it has to be said that Ei bears a resemblance to the original Warhol Superstar. Ei keeps her style based around the 1960s, but seeks inspiration from other eras, such as the 20s and the 90s. Like many others, Ei’s clothing is sourced from thrift stores and in her own words “anything over four dollars is too expensive.”

Aside from Edie, Ei collects her inspiration from both men and women alike, with people such as Lana Del Rey, Brian Jones, Patti Smith, Syd Barrett, Nico, David Bowie, Keith Richards and Debbie Harry serving as inspirations. Combining all these influences creates an interesting and individual look, completed with the trademark makeup of Edie herself.

Even though Ei may source her inspiration from others, every outfit definitely has the “Edie” silhouette and the high fashion of a 1960s supermodel.

Ei truly is the modern Warhol Superstar.
